Puffin Perfect Outfit

Lindybop Hillary Tea Dress (Plus Size) | Monki Pompom Beret | Fendi Kan I Bag | Evans Velour Hoodie (Plus Size) | Erstwilder Ollie the Brave Brooch | Emily Temple Cute Glitter Ballet Shoes

A puffin print dress! How awesomely adorable is that?! I knew the moment I saw it that I just had to create an outfit around it. A stylish retro lady with a Little Miss Quirky-twist. For those who prefer a more classic {if an outfit featuring a puffin print dress could ever be called that} retro/otome approach the velour hoodie can easily be replaced with a cute cardigan, but I’m sticking to ‘classic’ Little Miss Quirky-style and and going with the velour. As the weather is not warm enough yet {unless you’re lucky enough to live somewhere it’s summer in February} to allow for bare legs a pair of pretty tights will complete the look.

Fendi Spring-Summer 2017

Posted in Bags & Purses, Couture

I’ve been terribly slow at posting and unfortunately due to this I never got around to writing about my favourite collection from the fashion week(s) – taking place in September last year(!) – but here it finally is: Fendi Spring-Summer 2017. The collection is wonderful mix between almost military style prints in the form of the classic Fendi stripes and khaki with floral leather embellishments, inspired by palatial plasterwork; 1920s-style lingerie in sorbet colours, apron-style skirts and dresses at times leaving very little to the imagination; floral brocades paired with the futuristic and currently very on-trend athletic wear, in the shape of rugby-striped knit booties and sneakers – all combined in to what was referred to as techno rococo, influenced by Capodimonte porcelain and a modern day Marie Antoinette, according to Karl Lagerfeld.

My absolute favourite item from this collection is the Kan I bag with the scalloped edges (the Kan I debuted already in the current resort collection, but it doesn’t feature the scallops, and it’s all about those) – so cute yet still very contemporary. I’m already saving up for it, so I’ll be ready for when everything arrives at the shops at the end of March. The big question is which colour to get? So far I can tell it’ll come in pink (not for me), black (with gold hardware, which is also not for me), light blue, and white. Surprisingly enough the white one is my favourite so far – it kind of looks like stylised lace, which greatly appeals to me, and let’s face it – it can after all be dressed up with charms and straps!

Speaking of charms; aren’t the pineapple ones (although they look more like raspberries to me) just darling? I’m also contemplating one of those, but the bag is my first priority – so budget allowing maybe there’ll be a pineapple-raspberry in my future too. The pineapples come in aqua and yellow (seen above) as well as pink, orange, blue, and white (not pictured in this post).

Fendi also debuted other, smaller, charms called the ABClick, which are already available – in gold-coloured metal, and I’m here hoping to see some silver further on. ;)

Little Rabbit’s Sparkly Droplet Rendezvous Coord

Katie Confetti Cutie Multicolour Polkadot Blouse | Christopher Kane Pansy Bag | Q-Pot Chocolate Bunny Bag Charm | BtSSBLittle Rabbit’s Sparkly Droplet Rendezvous Dress | Q-Pot Bunny Ring | Emily Temple Cute Glitter Shoes | Angelic Pretty Petit Garden Crew Socks

Baby the Stars Shine Bright finally released a pansy print, as always with a name that’s quite a mouthful: Little Rabbit’s Sparkly Droplet Rendezvous! It was part of their Lucky Pack offerings this season and guess who mailed her favourite shopping service faster than you could say the name of the print?! Me, that’s who! :) It came in two colourways: mint and pink; and those of you who have been with me for a while know pink is out of the question, so mint it was. Now I am faced with the fun and somewhat tricky task of trying to coord it. Designer Christopher Kane released a gorgeous pansy bag for his resort collection and it would be an absolute dream pairing it with this dress, event though it means I’d have to go for some bolder pink(!) accents, however the bag costs an arm and a leg so it’s a pairing that’ll never get further than my dreams and the above collage.

Christopher Kane Resort 2017

Posted in Bags & Purses, Couture

It’s all about the pansy. Pansy prints. Giant pansy-shaped handbags. Pansy-bloom shoes. Pansy-embellished leather gloves. It’s Christopher Kane’s psychedelic pansy garden.

Fashion Unfiltered

This was Christopher Kane’s first resort show and his violent violets proved very avantgarde yet easily incorporated in to anyone’s wardrobe. I absolutely love the combination of the slightly rock’n’roll inspired lines with the crispy, clean pansies, creating kind of a post-apocalyptic, romantic, grunge style. Personally I will be trying to recreate the look above (to the right) but with a black a-line dress and black leggings, combined with a cute pair of low wellingtons/chelsea boots. On my wishlist is the bag to the left, although in the same black as the boots above… now I’ll just have to be patient and wait for the collection to be released.

Moschino Resort 2017 {The Bags}

Posted in Bags & Purses

Moschino recently showed their resort collection and, while the clothes were to over the top in my opinion, the bags were just enough quirky and fun! I especially love the hoodie bag, which is a kind of street style evil twin to Chanel’s Girl bag. I also adore the embroidered bomber style jacket bag and the cartoon animal print ones.

What do you think of the bags? Fun or too much?
