Oh, my darling Clementine…

Hand Stamped Clementine Wall (DIY by A Beautiful Mess) | Isn’t this just such a fun and fabulous DIY Project?! I’m definetly saving this idea for when I get bored of my kitchen wallpaper (which is bound to happen sooner or later). I’m not 100% sure about the one I picked and a wall like theirs would definetly be cuter than my oversized floral one… although I think I’d rather make the tangerines in to cherries (that’d match my raspberry pink refrigerator better).

As for the rest of the vitamin C charged items above: Clementine Tea Towel by Belle & Union | Orange Bowl (no longer available) | Tangerine KitchenAid | Orange Metal Tin by Froy & Dind.

Orange definetly is a bold and cheery colour but I’m not sure I’d dare decorate with it, other than in small doses that is. Do you like orange?

Fancy Florals

Posted in Kitchen, Shopping

My fabrics arrived, and they are all so pretty! Now I, all fingers and thumbs, will just have to wait until mum has the time to sew my kitchen curtains… and the potholders and whatnots. I don’t know about you but in my family the ‘creativeness’ and ability to make things have sort of skipped every other generation – I can’t to save my life, mum is ridiculously talented, my grandmother was awful at it and her mother worked as a seamstress… whilst raising ten children.

Veranda

Posted in Fabric Fancy, Kitchen

Mum is in a bit of a patchwork frenzy at the moment, and showed me a gorgeous fabric collection called Veranda that she was planning on ordering some fabrics from… as this would look absolutely stunning in my kitchen, as previously mentioned styled in aqua and raspberry, I did not hesitate to add a couple of metres myself to that order. The print in the middle of the above picture is my choice for kitchen curtains, and the other fabrics will be made in to accents (on the curtains) and accessories (potholders, tablecloths, and seat cushions). I just hope it’ll all match my choice of wallpaper for the kitchen — but then again I tend to mismatch everything, so perhaps I am better off calling that my style!

The designer of the fabric has made several other collections previously and among those I found another favourite as well: Tea Cakes — which I think will look cute in the shape of cushions and throws on my balcony as spring and summer comes. I am particularly fond of the multi-coloured polkadot print.

Kitchen {Part 3}

Posted in Kitchen

There are a lot of things to try to organise and fit in to my cupboards and shelves, before I can claim this kitchen to be finished! There isn’t even room for the table and chairs yet.

Kitchen {Part 2}

The Amy Butler wallpaper is up, and the kitchen is looking very bright indeed. What’s in the big box to the left? Why, my raspberry pink refrigerator of course!

Kitchen {Part 1}

Posted in Kitchen

This is my kitchen. The white side, so to speak, of my kitchen – pictures of the, umm, bright side(!) is coming later. Oh, and never mind the soap bottle and the pile of manuals for the appliances.

Hello Saucepan?

Posted in Kitchen, Shopping

Even though it has Hello Kitty (I do not like cats, at all) on it I couldn’t resist this saucepan I found at a market during my holiday in Italy. It’s turquoise! And €6 for it is a bargain indeed.
